WES After the Bell / After School Program
The Westshire After School Program (known as After the Bell, or ATB) will open on Monday, September 9th.
ATB will run from Monday-Thursday, every day from 3:00-5:15 (except on Thursday - we’ll be open from 2:00-5:15).
Staffing News
Leslie Berger will be returning as the WES site coordinator.
We're sad that Ms. Allison won’t be returning (she’s pursuing her career in biology – a good thing!)
We're happy to announce that Trevor Law will be our new ATB staff member for the 2024-25 school year. Trevor, once a Vershire resident, recently returned to the Upper Valley. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in social work at Fordham University. Welcome Trevor!
How to Register for After the Bell
All registration happens online via a program called EZ Child Track. Here’s the link: https://www.ezchildtrack.com/parentportala/? c=afterthebell
NOTE: Don't try to google "EZ Child Track" because unless you use this exact link, you'll be unable to register for the Rivendell program. (The web will direct you to an administrator's interface).
Once on the landing page, you'll need to sign in.
- If you've ever registered your child for a Rivendell program (either ATB or Preschool), you already have an account with EZ Child Track. In this case you should use the BLUE box to sign in. (Tips: Your username will be your email address. If you can't remember your password, click the "forgot password" link, and reset information will be sent to you).
- If you've never registered your child for a Rivendell program, select the PURPLE box. You'll need to establish an account with EZ Child Track to sign up for ATB.
- If you have an account through Rivendell - but not for childcare - select the GREEN box.
How it Works:
You’ll sign your children up for the days of the week you’d like them to attend. Once these days are established, your child’s name will appear on our roster for those days each week.
- You’ll need to set up an account (if you haven’t done so already).
- Once you’ve established an account, choose your child’s school - either SME or WES.
- The cost per child per day: $12
- Payments can be made online via EZ Child Track, or by check or cash. Checks should be written to “Rivendell Interstate School District” with the child’s name/ATB in the subject line.
Billing
Families will be billed prior to each service period. A bill will be generated every two weeks. An autopay option can be set up on your account - and is recommended!
FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION
Read the information below to get started. If you have questions, please reach out for further assistance.
For Vermont Residents:
The subsidy, also known as the Child Care Financial Assistance Program (CCFAP), is managed by VT Child Development Division (CDD). We strongly encourage eligible families to apply! There is a registration process, and you won’t hear back immediately about your application, but the agency is reliable and will provide financial assistance for anyone that is eligible. Additionally, if you are found eligible, your childcare assistance will begin on the date that your completed application is received. This means that even if it takes a while to receive confirmation, submitting your application earlier is better, as you’ll receive back coverage.
If your application is approved ~
-You’ll hear how much CDD will pay, what your family’s responsibility will be, and for what period.
-They’ll send authorized payments directly to Rivendell.
-You’ll only pay the portion of the bill which is the parent’s responsibility.
To apply for the subsidy:
You can click on the application, download it, and print it. Unfortunately, there is no online application process. Paper copies of this application are available at school, so please ask if you’d like one! The application needs to go to The Family Place in Norwich, VT. That is the agency that handles all state subsidy for our region.
Feel free to reach out to Leslie Berger lberger@rivendellschool.org if you have any questions or need help with the registration process.
- If school is canceled due to inclement weather or for any other reason, the after school program will not be in session for that day/days.
- If there is an unplanned early release due to weather, after school will be canceled .
- If there is a two hour delay, the program will run as scheduled!
- If the program is cancelled, you will be reimbursed at the end of the pay period for any days that were paid for in advance. Please pay attention to school announcements and weather, and be prepared ahead of time to find an alternative plan for your child.
- When children are absent from school, a refund will be issued to their accounts
- Please make sure that if there are any changes to your after-school schedule
(absences, early pick up, practice, etc.), that you inform your program's site
